Luxury fashion brand Gucci kicked off Milan Fashion Week in a typical eccentric style with models carried replicas of their own heads on a runway transformed into a creepy operating room.

Male and female models walked onto a runway amid operating tables under bright neon lights in the Gucci Hub, the brandโ€™s Milan headquarters, over the steady beeping of a heart monitoring machine.

Not only did some carry replicas of their own severed head, but others were adorned with a third eye, or even a baby dragon. However, designer Giorgio Armani wasnโ€™t a fan.

Armani slammed Gucci for going โ€˜overboardโ€™ with their latest runway collection. The veteran designer, 83, hit out at the fashion house for their controversial Autumn/Winter 2018 presentation last week.

“He insisted that itโ€™s important not to go “overboard” with staging, but to let the clothes do the talking,” Armani stated.

Though he didnโ€™t mention the brand, or creative director Alessandro Michele, by name, he said, “I donโ€™t want to be a part of this. Fashion canโ€™t be a means to have the media talk about you.
