Pitti Immagine Uomo is the most notable exposition in Italy. Twice a year Pitti Uomo presents men’s clothing and accessories collections by the most famous and upcoming international brands.
The winter edition of PITTI IMMAGINE UOMO is held each January. This year for four days – from 8 to 11 January- the latest collections in menswear and male accessories come together on a celebration of elegance and pure Italian style, presented for the first time to operators in the sector as an introduction to the forthcoming trends.
The location is as well is exclusive and well worth a visit: indeed, Fortezza da Basso is a beautiful masterpiece of Renaissance architecture just a stone’s throw from Santa Maria Novella, in the historic centre of the city.
The dominant theme developed by Sergio Colantuoni in the Fortezza revolves around surprise boxes and it is called: The Pitti Box. After several editions in which colours and a fun, pop-inspired mood took centre-stage, Pitti Uomo 95 will focus on “a return to austerity, understated colours and a certain kind of elegance,” as shown by the black and white visuals which promote the event’s January session. The programme will strike a balance between designer brands, emerging labels and well-established ones, with a plethora of events held both inside and outside the walls of the Fortezza da Basso, in some of Florence’s iconic spots.
The dynamic event, which is more than ever devoted to the scouting of new talents and the confirmation of the established ones, in this edition, presents 1,230 brands, of which 542 are international. These represent the best of men fashion, from classic-contemporary styles to high-end street styles, from outdoor clothing to urban styles
From unconventional dressing styles to contemporary ones, this event specializes in every aspect of men’s clothing and apparels.
Beyond the Italian one, many foreign markets involved: from France to Japan, from the United States to Russia and many others. Tailor-made installations and projects combine fashion, art and design.
