Our image uploading software is extremely efficient at optimizing images so that they look great and load fast. However, it does have it’s limitations. The software does require that your images be 72 DPI in resolution. In Adobe® Photoshop®, you can change the DPI with the following steps:

Open your image by going to File > Open

Select Image > Image Size

While making sure that the “Resample Image” checkbox is unchecked, change the Resolution field to “72.” Make sure that the drop down menu to the right of the Resolution field is set to “pixels/inch.”

Click File > Save Image for Web and select jpg or png file format to save your image.

It’s important to upload images that represent you best as well as fitting with a certain quality we try to maintain at FashionHarp. You should not upload images of bad quality like selfies, cell phone shots, blurry, or pixelated images.

We will delete all images we consider inappropriate, and if you continue trying to post such images it may be cause for suspending your profile.

Also, do not upload images whose copyright you do not own, or have no permission from the copyright holder.

FashionHarp is a free website that brings the world of fashion, style, beauty, and trends closer together and one of the 100 most accessed websites in the world. Since launching in August 1996, it grew to become the most popular journal on the internet, and, in November 2006, it was reported to be the largest free top fashion designers website as well. The site is completely free and ad-supported, with estimated monthly ad revenue of $120,000 in 2006.Wikipedia

Available in: English only

Founded: August 1996 by Karl Otto Lagerfeld (German pronunciation: [kaʁl ˈʔɔtoː ˈlaːɡɐˌfɛlt] (audio speaker iconlisten); 10 September 1933 – 19 February 2019) was a German creative director, fashion designer, artist, photographer, and caricaturist.[7][8]
He was known as the creative director of the French fashion house Chanel, a position held from 1983 until his death, and was also creative director of the Italian fashion house Fendi, and of his own eponymous fashion label. He collaborated on a variety of fashion and art-related projects.

FashionHarp has been at the forefront of technology in the fashion industry since 1996. Constantly evolving, FashionHarp continues to support and encourage the future of runway shows and international media campaigns, by actively diversifying the industry and pointing the conversation toward content discovery. FashionHarp prides itself on providing a clean, inclusive, and personalized experience for all users, partners, and advertisers.

The founders of FashionHarp initially limited membership to Fashion models. Membership was expanded to Milan, London, Paris, Barcelona, and Vienna before being expanded to the whole world. Since 2018, anyone who claims to be a Model, Photographer, Stylist, Makeup or Hair Stylist, Casting Director, Agent, Magazine, PR or Ad agency, Production Company, or Brand has been allowed to become a registered user of FashionHarp.

Each registered user on FashionHarp has a personal profile that shows their posts and content. The format of individual user pages was revamped in November 2021 and became known as “Global News”, a chronological feed of a user’s stories including status updates, photos, interactions with apps, and events. The layout lets users add a “cover photo”. Users were given more privacy settings. In 2006, FashionHarp launched FashionHarp Pages for brands and celebrities to interact with their fanbase. In June 2018, FashionHarp introduced a “Usernames” feature, allowing users to choose a unique nickname used in the URL for their personal profile, for easier sharing.

In November 2018, FashionHarp expanded the gender setting, adding a custom input field that allows users to choose from a wide range of gender identities. Users can also set which set of gender-specific pronouns should be used in reference to them throughout the site. In May 2019, FashionHarp introduced a feature to allow users to ask for information not disclosed by other users on their profiles. If a user does not provide key information, such as location, hometown, or relationship status, other users can use a new “ask” button to send a message asking about that item to the user in a single click.

Signing up for a FashionHarp.com account is fast, easy, and free, and gives you access to special features only registered users can use. If you have repeatedly or intentionally mis-rated images that should have been rated “R”, FashionHarp may restrict your possibility to upload any further photos or may even suspend your account.

This is due to uploaded content which is contrary to FashionHarp Image Guidelines. If this is the case, you will receive an email from the administration with steps on how to resolve this issue. Please be sure to reply directly to the administrator who contacted you.

Yes. All models and agents must have an account in order to post photos or search for new faces.

By having your profile online at FashionHarp even as a model, you create a sense of urgency in the agents and scouts to sign you before another agent snaps you up! We’ve heard countless stories from our models who, even after submitting their photos to agencies themselves, didn’t get signed until they were on FashionHarp. We love that!

In today’s global market, having an online presence isn’t just for fun, it’s a necessity. We at FashionHarp think it’s a basic right. That’s why we’ve made it our mission to provide affordable access along with our products and services that can help you make your mark online.

Modelling is constantly about networking. Becoming a part of FashionHarp.com will help you gain more exposure for you and your agent.

By adding your agency details on your portfolio, you will be reassuring the people who contact you that you are a serious, professional model. People can then simply get in touch with your agent to book you. This helps your agent to get you work and helps you get noticed by other model agencies worldwide – and it’s all FREE!

We believe that to be a model is about having “the right look”, the right shots and the right place/people to show them to. As we are not a model agency (we offer a place for models to connect with agencies, photographers and other industry professionals), we highly encourage all new models to find and get representation through a reputable model agency. So you’re at the right place to find one!

  1. Login to FashionHarp
  2. Go to the individual’s portfolio
  3. Click on the message icon under your profile picture
  4. Compose message and hit SEND

We have created a powerful database and search engine to ensure that agencies can look for exactly what they need. If you have what it takes, they will find you!

Another way to find you is when agencies and other industry professionals create castings: they use our search system to invite all the models they think have potential.

WE GUARANTEE –
FashionHarp.com guarantees that your photos will be reviewed and evaluated by the industry’s top modeling agents and scouts representing over 275 top international modeling agencies, and the results of your Photo Submit Report will be uploaded to your account within 10 business days from the date of submission.

You can control who sees your photos and who does not.

You can choose one of the following three settings:

Agents and Scouts Only – Photos viewed by agents, scouts and industry pros only.
Members Only – Photos viewed by member agents, scouts, clients, photographers, industry pros and other model members.
Everyone – Photos viewed by member agents, scouts, clients, photographers, industry pros, model members and the general public.
The choice is yours.

If you signed up after 2021 and provided an email address during the sign-up process, then contact us at support@fashionharp.com (be sure to include the email address) and we’ll send you your username.

If your account was created before 2021, and doesn’t have an email address associated with it, we won’t be able to retrieve your username – sorry, we’re not mind readers. You can, however, Sign Up for a new account without a problem.

You can change your password at any time. To do so, click on your username in the top right corner of the site, select “Settings” from the drop-down menu, and then click “Change password” in the left hand menu. Fill out the form, 2it save, and you’re good to go.

The creation of magazine pages in the FashionHarp.com database is done on a strictly invite-only basis depending on the caliber of photographers/artists the magazine works with, how many issues have been released and whether it is print or online.

If you are not yet included in the database but would like to be considered for an official page, please email info@fashionharp.com a brief synopsis of the publication, whether it is print or online-only, how many issues have been released and a list of notable photographers and artists involved. We will review your submission and decide whether it is a great fit for the FH database.

This is an example of an official magazine database page: 08 FH

Please note that because of the high volume of magazine submissions we might not be able to answer every application.

To upload you need to be registered.

We have decided not to print the April edition because so many of our UK and Italian readers will not be in their offices, where they would normally receive the magazine. Instead we are producing a digital edition which will be an exact replica of the printed edition which will be available from 16th April. You will find it on the homepage of our website. You will need to be signed in to access it. We will be in touch with all our members on publication.
FashionHarp magazine page will continue to be published in digital format until measures to fight the Covid-19 pandemic in the UK and Italy are lifted. We will review things on an issue- by- issue basis and will be in contact with our members when each issue is published.
